Eric Bjorkman, Perkins Coie

Eric Bjorkman, a partner with Perkins Coie's Business practice, focuses his practice on emerging companies and business counseling. He has extensive experience representing start-up clients with respect to entity formation, seed funding, working capital requirements and mergers and acquisitions. Eric also regularly represents clients in the energy industry, dealing with real estate acquisitions, land use laws, and project development. Eric's experience covers numerous energy sources, including biomass, solar, wind, and other renewable technologies. (E-mail)

Don Bush, Kount

Don Bush works for Kount, Inc., a division of Keynetics here is Boise, as the Director of Marketing. Don attended Brigham Young University studying Business Administration and Marketing.

Prior to joining Kount, Don was the Director of Marketing at CradlePoint, a leading manufacturer of wireless routing solutions in the mobile broadband industry. Don has worked in several management roles within the technology segment for over 20 years with both hardware/software manufacturers and as a partner in two top technology marketing agencies. He has lead products launches and marketing programs for dozens of companies around the world such as Citi, HP, IBM, Kodak, Motorola and Weyerhaeuser and co-authored the seminar series, “Common Launch Disasters and How to Avoid Them.”  (E-mail)


Miguel Lantz

Miguel’s career in product development at HP spanned 30 years and included project and program management, director and VP level roles.  After leaving HP Miguel saw some potential in BSU sensor technology and is currently founder and president of Tierra Systems, an early stage startup developing “dip and read” instrumentation that can detect heavy metals without lab processing delays and no compromise to accuracy. Miguel likes to spend time in McCall when not working in Boise.

 


Jonathon Fishman

Jonathon Fishman is an accomplished technology entrepreneur with a passion for early-stage start-up technology companies within emergent business categories.  With over twenty years of strategic successes delivering unparalleled value to multimedia, digital distribution, gaming, advertising, software development and broadband interactive media entities. Currently, Jonathon serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Behavior Imaging Solutions an educational technology company. 




Ryan Gray, SGW Designworks

Ryan Gray is co-founder and Managing Partner at SGW Designworks in Boise. He is passionate about helping businesses develop meaningful new products, and helping Idaho companies become more competitive through creative engineering and manufacturing efficiency. Ryan has also worked for fortune 500 companies in R&D, project management, and marketing management roles.



Peter Oliver,  Thornton Oliver Keller

Peter Oliver recently returned to Thornton Oliver Keller as an investment and land brokerage specialist in 2011.  He has over 24 years of real estate sales and leasing experience and enjoys the distinction of having co-founded the firm.  Peter’s commercial real estate abilities are varied and notable.  His expertise covers the gamut of property types and Peter has been involved in numerous local projects of significance such as Boise Research Center, River Quarry and Victory Business Center. 

Jeff Huhn, Bank of the Cascades

Jeff Huhn is a Senior Vice President with Bank of the Cascades in Boise, ID where he manages the commercial lending teams in Garden City and Downtown Boise. He holds a Bachelors degree in Finance from Santa Clara University. Active in the Boise community, Huhn is a board member of the St. Mark’s Catholic School, Friends of Zoo Boise, and Kickstand. He is not ashamed to admit that that he is a California native, where he spent over 10 years banking venture capital-backed technology and biotechnology companies. Kelly Madison, Myriad Benefits

Kelly is an independent benefits broker and advisor helping companies for over 20 years with their health insurance and employee benefit plans. Kelly founded Strategic Benefits in 2002 which merged with Myriad Benefits in 2009. As a business owner, Kelly is drawn to the entrepreneurial spirit and strongly believes that our start up community plays a key role in the growth of our economy.

Jason Prince, Stoel Rives

Jason Prince is an attorney with Stoel Rives LLP, where his practice emphasizes litigation, alternative dispute resolution and transactional counseling involving the domestic and international sale of goods and services. He represents businesses of various sizes in complex contract disputes and class actions in federal and state courts, as well as in negotiations, mediations and arbitrations. Ben Quintana, Board President of Kickstand

Ben has served on the Kickstand Board of Directors for the past 4 years.  His background includes work in small business, leadership and economic development.  Ben is the founder of Boise Young Professionals (BYP) and has served as the chair of IdaVation, Kickstand's annual summit for entrepreneurs and innovators, in 2009 and 2010.  (E-mail)

Rick Ritter, Idaho TechConnect

Rick Ritter serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Idaho TechConnect, Inc., a position he has held since 2005. In addition, Mr. Ritter serves as the Chief Operations Officer for Invest Idaho, an EB-5 Regional Center. Mr. Ritter has more than more than 20 years of business incubation/assistance/commercialization experience. He has started and successfully operated five businesses (technology, construction, real estate development, consulting, non-profit). He has experience in federal and state government, university, non-profit and private sector arenas. Mr. Ritter holds an MPA degree from Boise State University and a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Idaho. He resides in Meridian, Idaho with his wife, Terri. Eric Shaver, Ph.D. Unity Media Group

Eric is a senior consultant with Benchmark Research & Safety, Inc., where he specializes in human factors, user research, and training.  Dr. Shaver's work has emphasized achieving an optimal fit between people, technology, and work systems to facilitate safety, performance, and satisfaction.  His professional interests also include leadership development, team performance, organizational behavior, and new product development.  He holds a Ph.D. in Ergonomics Psychology from North Carolina State University and a M.S. in Human Factors Psychology and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Idaho. (E-mail)

Scott Talcott, Wells Fargo

Scott Talcott is VP Europe for AP Wireless Infrastructure Partners. He also served as a Vice President at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London and an Associate Vice President with Dresdner Bank’s Project Finance Group in Frankfurt. Living in Boise with his wife and three children, Scott enjoys coaching and getting outdoors. Scott serves on the Health Vision Council for United Way Treasure Valley.
